Aguilas (Murcia)

What to do in Aguilas

Aguilas' mining past and British legacy make this one of the most historic towns on the Costa Cálida. But the history of Aguilas begins much earlier, as its origins date back to Roman times. This can be appreciated by visiting the Roman baths, where you can still see vestiges of the old hot baths.

Aguilas stands out for the beauty of its landscapes, especially El Hornillo bay, Delicias beach and the Carolina cove. This cove is part of the Cuatro Calas Protected Natural Landscape, which has trails that you will love because of the nature that will surround you, including beautiful beaches and marine caves.

The most famous highlight of Aguilas is, without a doubt, its carnival. The carnivals of the town are a festival of colour, music and dance. Thousands of tourists come to delight in the costumes of those who dance down the street in the parades that take place during the day and night. Those who enjoy more active tourism can travel different hiking routes and kayak or dive. For all this, Aguilas is a perfect combination of history and adventure.
