The municipality of Aguilas occupies a coastal strip of 28 kilometres in length, in which one can find 36 beaches, from beaches in the urban area to virgin beaches in natural surroundings of great beauty. In the extreme south, bordering the province of Almeria, the Cuatro Calas Protected Natural Landscape stands out (Los Cocedores Beach, La Carolina Beach, La Higuerica Beach and Calarreona Beach).
