The Parish Church of Saint Joseph is located in Spain Square, in the urban center of the city of Aguilas. It is a sober neoclassical temple without decoration dating from the 19th century, specifically, the year 1853.
The parish has a basilica floor plan with three naves, a transept, and a deep apse, which combine gray and white tones. It has the image of the patroness saint of the city, a work attributed to Roque Lopez, a disciple of Salzillo.
