Three Wise Men. This is celebrated in January.

“Cuadrillas” Meeting. This is celebrated in January.

Carnival. This is celebrated in February (variable date).

Holy Week Band Meeting. This is celebrated in March-April (variable date).

Saint Mark. This is celebrated in April with the "Jirillos" and the "Gornazo".

Sierra Espuña Early Music International Festival. This is celebrated in July.

El Barrio Festival. This is celebrated in August.

The Night of the Candles. This is celebrated in August and lights up the old town of Aledo with thousands of torches and candles, returning the population to its most medieval appearance.   Video

Patron Saint Festivities. These are celebrated in August with the celebration of the Octave of Corpus, the day of the patroness saint, Saint Mary la Real, the day of the patron saint, Saint Augustine, and the day of the Carriage.
 
 

      Alhama de Murcia

 
Virgin of the Candelaria. This is celebrated on February 2.

Carnival. This is celebrated in February (variable date).

Holy Week. Holy Week in Alhama de Murcia has been declared a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest. It is celebrated in March-April (variable date).   Video

The Mayos. The Mayos of Alhama de Murcia have been declared a Festival of National Tourist Interest. They are celebrated in May.   Video    Website

Patron Saint Festivities. These are celebrated at the beginning of October in honour of the Virgin of Rosary, with highlights including the parade of floats and the “migas” contest.
 
 

      Librilla

 
Festival of Saint Bartholomew. These are the most important festivals in the municipality and are celebrated at the end of August. The most typical and traditional event of these patron saint festivities is the throwing of "pitanzas" from the balconies of the Town Hall. The pitanza is a round bread weighing about 200 grams.   Video
