Cieza is the capital of the Vega Alta del Segura region and is one of the most populated municipalities in the Murcia province. It has an invaluable living cultural heritage that unfolds in the Holy Week and Saint Bartholomew festival.

The museums of Cieza are in permanent exhibition given all the archaeological treasures of different times that are found in its lands, such as the Arab city of Medina Siyâsa.

A flowering show takes place in Cieza during the spring, as the peach, the star fruit of Murcia, the apricot, the nectarine, the plum, the olive, and the almond trees blossom, producing a true explosion of colours that paint the fields. Many people travel to see the crops, enjoying the visual gift and taking photos to remember.

Flowering is not Cieza’s only attraction, as there are also places such as the Basilica of Our Lady of the Assumption, the Hermitage of Saint Bartholomew, the Balcony of the Wall, the Convent of the Poor Clares (Immaculate Conception), and the “Virgencica” Arch.
