Nature Interpretation Centre (Puerto Lumbreras)
This is located inside the youth hostel, in Cabezo de la Jara, next to the Astronomical Observatory. This entire area presents an important natural heritage that visitors can enjoy thanks to the different trails that run through it and a visit to the Interpretation Centre.
There is a circuit where one can take a tour through six thematic spaces, related to the flora, fauna, landscape, and history of man in the region. In this circuit, visitors can learn about the natural heritage of Puerto Lumbreras. In addition, there are environmental and natural resource workshops.
The centre is frequently visited by lovers of hiking and nature, as it is also the starting or ending point for different trails that cross the Cabezo de la Jara. The most popular walk is the one that connects Puerto Lumbreras with the Interpretation Centre.
