      Bullas

 
Carnival. Carnival is a big event for Bullas, with endless "masks", troupes, costume parties, and parades.

Holy Week. During Holy Week in Bullas, five brotherhoods take part in a procession. On Easter Sunday, the traditional "Meeting of the Old Square" takes place, in which all the processions are found, achieving the most emotional moment of Holy Week in Bullas.   Video

Saint Mark. This is celebrated the last weekend of April. It is a massive event that exalts the agricultural tradition of Bullas.   Video

Saint John Night. In Bullas, the night of June 23 to 24 takes on a special role.   Video

Wine Festival. This is celebrated coinciding with the harvest season, at the end of September. Many events are held, such as different routes, concerts, exhibitions, and gastronomic events as well as the annual appointment of the Master of Wine.

Patron Saint Festivities. These are celebrated on the first Sunday of October in honour of the Virgin of the Rosary, patroness saint of the town.      Video

Festival of Saint Anthony the Great (La Copa). This is celebrated the weekend closest to January 17.

Patron Saint Festivities (La Copa). These are celebrated the first weekend of September in honour of the Virgin of Consolation and Perpetual Help.

Festival of the Immaculate Conception (La Copa). The Auroros Bell of La Copa travels the streets of the district with its songs on the eve of December 8, in an ancient tradition.
 
 

      Calasparra

 
Carnival. This is celebrated in February (variable date). The streets of Calasparra are filled with life and colour during the carnival.

Holy Week. Holy Week in Calasparra has been declared a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest. The Holy Week processions in Calasparra date back to the second half of the 15th century, in an ancient tradition that attracts thousands of visitors.

The Saints. At the end of July, festivities are celebrated in honour of the Holy Martyrs Saint Abdon and Saint Sennen, patron saints of Calasparra.   Video

Calasparra Fair. This is celebrated between September 2 and 8 in honour of the Virgin of Hope, patroness saint of Calasparra. As part of the festivities, the traditional Pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Hope is held, an event declared of Regional Tourist Interest.

Juan Pelotero. On December 28, the Day of the Innocents, “Juan Pelotero”, a character whose origins date back to the 15th century, goes out through the streets of Calasparra accompanied by his entire gang.
 
 

      Caravaca de la Cruz

 
Festival of the Holy Vera Cruz. These have been declared Festivals of International Tourist Interest. They are unusual festivals, unique in the world, and are celebrated between May 1 and 5.

Of all the festivities that make up these festivities, the most original is that of the Wine Horses, which is held every May 2 and was declared by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Also noteworthy are the colourful parades of Moors and Christians.   Video

Exaltation of the Cross. These are different acts of a religious nature that take place between September 10 and 14.

Festival of the Cuadrillas (Barranda). This is celebrated on the last Sunday of January and has been declared a Festival of National Tourist Interest. It is the oldest traditional music festival in Spain.

      Cehegin

 
Carnival. This is celebrated in February (variable date). It is about fun parties long awaited by all the inhabitants of Cehegin.   Video

Holy Week. This is celebrated in March or April (variable date). Holy Week in Cehegin stands out for the showiness of its processions, the spectacular setting of its old town, the ages (over 400 years) of some of its brotherhoods, and the beauty of its images.   Video    Website

Festival of Saint Isidore. This is celebrated the weekend closest to May 15, the day of Saint Isidore the Farmer.

Patron Saint Festivities. These are celebrated in September in honour of the Virgin of Wonders. These festivities have been celebrated since 1729, when the Virgin of Wonders became the patroness saint of Cehegin.   Video
 
 

      Moratalla

 
Holy Week. Holy Week in Moratalla stands out for its “Tamborada”, declared a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest and a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is an ancestral collective act with hundreds of drums whose main days are Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday.

Festivities of the Holy Christ of Lightning. These are celebrated between July 11 and 17 and have been declared Festivals of Regional Tourist Interest. They have been celebrated in Moratalla since 1622. The central axis of the festivities is the traditional running of the bulls.
