This small temple was built to honour the Virgin Mary Help of Christians. Its simple building has simple lines and is made up of a single nave.
From its main facade, one can see the entrance door to the hermitage, made of carved wood, while to its right one can see its simple but very picturesque tower. Inside the tower is the bell tower, which can be seen through the openings in the shape of a semicircular arch on its four sides.
The Virgin Mary Help of Christians is the patroness saint of Campotéjar Alta, where the hermitage is located. On the occasion of its commemoration, one weekend a year the residents of the region gather for different celebrations and activities. One can enjoy exquisite typical gastronomy, musical performances, and games for the little ones.
