Patron Saint Festivities

The Patron Saint Festivities of La Union are celebrated during the first fortnight of October in honour of the patroness saint of the town, the Virgin of the Rosary.

These fun parties offer plenty of activities, such as costume parades, float parades and crazy car races.

In addition, and for free, at these popular parties you can enjoy concerts, performances and popular meals to brighten up the holidays.

Mining Holy Week

During Holy Week in La Union, the Holy Thursday procession stands out. It has been declared of Regional Tourist Interest and is where the Christ of the Miners reflects the feelings of a population with a marked mining past.

In the Via Crucis, the image of the Christ of the Miners descends through the Sierra Minera on the shoulders of the faithful, from the Mine Agrupa Vicenta to the Church of the Rosary.
