The Hermitage of St Antony the Great was built in 1611 on the outskirts of the city.
It is a temple with a Latin cross plan, although at present, due to the changes it has undergone, it has remained a Greek cross, with a single vaulted nave and a transept and dome.
Due to the increase in population, the temple was converted into a hospital and later into a school, ending up losing its cover and part of the nave.
