This church was built on the site of the old chapel of Our Lady of Loreto, opening for worship in 1771.
The floor plan of the Church of El Salvador is a basilica with three naves, one central and two lower and narrower lateral ones, in which small altars are opened for different devotions.
The main altarpiece is of mock architecture with overlapping and painted canvases, very common in Murcian Baroque.
