The Prison Sociocultural Centre (Totana)
In 1693, the old hermitage of the Medical Saints was created, dedicated to Cosmas and Damian. In that same place, and on the ruins of the hermitage, in 1894 the Prison of the Judicial District of Totana was built after the municipality was designated head of the Judicial District.
Almost a century later, in 1986, the building was remodelled to house the cultural centre of the city.
Currently, there is a library, a theatre, a music academy, a gym and an exhibition hall. Thus, it is possible to visit this historic building to enjoy multiple cultural and artistic activities.
