This old hermitage, converted into a parish church in 1698, was one of the first three parish buildings in the Mar Menor region. It houses an immense quantity of sculptures and works of art of great historical and religious value.
Among its architectural wealth, the dome located in the transept and its only four-section tower that houses the open bell tower stand out. Inside, one can see the conservation of its pulpit, made of carved walnut wood, where the four evangelists and Jesus are engraved.
Unfortunately, during the course of the Spanish Civil War, not only was part of the structure damaged, but also a large part of the heritage and documentation that was kept in the parish was lost.
