General Air Academy (San Javier - Murcia)

General Air Academy (San Javier)

This academy, belonging to the Army of Spain, is in charge of offering military professional training to all those who want to serve as officers of the Air Force.

The headquarters were inaugurated there in 1943, with the first class entering in 1945. From that moment, the academy has seen the entry of more than 6,000 students. The facilities also serve as headquarters for the famous Eagle Patrol, which is the acrobatic flight team of the Spanish Army, created in 1954, which can be seen in action on July 25 of each year in commemoration of the Patron Santiago de la Ribera.

The General Air Academy frequently holds open days to the public so that visitors can tour the facilities and see aircraft exhibitions, the museum, the parade ground, and the war memorial.
