In Albudeite's history, both in its organization as a municipality and in its economy, the Mula river has played a central role, providing the beauty of its orchards and natural landscapes.
The name “Albudeite” comes from Arabic, meaning "that of scarce water", as the Mula river has a low flow.
In Albudeite, you can learn, along with its exuberant natural beauty, about its history through its remains of Arab architecture, as well as its patron saint and religious festivals. The Church of Our Lady of the Remedies stands out (declared a Site of Cultural Interest), which began to be built in the 16th century on what was an old mosque.
