This is an architectural jewel of the city, as it is one of the few examples of bourgeois architecture of the 19th century. It was owned by the family known as "Los Mayorajos".
It was bought by the Puerto Lumbreras City Council and completely reconditioned. Today it is used by all the public through the temporary exhibition hall, where workshops, a projection room, and conferences are held. In addition, here we can find the headquarters of the Augusto Vels Museum Collection of Graphology.
Augusto Vels was a great graphologist born in Puerto Lumbreras. In this room, tribute is paid to him and his work. It is possible to see letters, books, objects, and his dispatch. The exhibition seeks to publicize graphology through the work of Augusto Vels. A large number of books on graphology are available to all who want to consult them.
