Here is kept the most complete collection of the great Murcian Baroque sculptor Francisco Salzillo. Inaugurated in 1960, the building contrasts with the modernity of its structure, the baroque style of the Church of Jesus that makes it up, and the impressiveness of the sculptures.
The museum has several rooms. The first and the most innovative room is where you can see the most impressive works of the sculptor. The second room, known as “Sala de los Bocetos”, shows a collection of unspecified ideas and part of his history as an apprentice. Finally, we find the third room, which contains small religious sculptures that make up a complete nativity scene and to which Salzillo dedicated his last years of life.
