This museum involves a project that seeks to bring scientific knowledge to the public and thus foster their curiosity in a didactic and participatory way.
Located in a key site, this museum, inaugurated in 1996, is located in the old cisterns that supplied water to the city and which were renovated into the current exhibition halls with a total area of 2,420 square meters.
The museum also has a planetarium that houses twenty-six seats, a Water Room that seeks to make the visitor aware of the importance of this resource, and the Discover Room, aimed at awakening and sharpening the sensory capacities of children. In addition to all these permanent exhibitions that we mentioned, this museum has temporary exhibitions where workshops, courses, and conferences are offered.
