Murcia University Aquarium

Located in one of the pavilions of the Old Artillery Barracks, the aquarium offers a didactic and educational tour that aims to reveal all the details of fascinating marine life.

It is distributed on two floors in which two very different types of ecosystems can be seen. One is the tropical ecosystem, where we can find typical Caribbean species such as reef sharks, rays, and live corals; while the other is the Mediterranean ecosystem, which takes us to a better-known environment where we can see species such as sole and even sharks.

The aquarium functions at the same time as an important research and conservation centre for endangered species in our region as well as outside it.
