This building has been erected, torn down, and rebuilt several times. The original building was built in the 18th century, the second version in the early 20th century, and the last in 1979.
This particularity, added to the fact that in each reconstruction pieces of the previous buildings were kept, gives the current building an eclectic but harmonious style at the same time.
The old Corregidor's house today functions as the seat of the Courts of Lorca.
