This parish church dedicated to the patron saint of the town, in the Baroque style, began to be built in the 16th century. It is one of the oldest active churches in the province of Murcia.
Over the years, this church has undergone major renovations, the most important being the one carried out in the mid-18th century, when the ornamentation of the main façade was completed. The last remodelling took place between March 2007 and October 2008.
