This lighthouse is located 15 kilometres from the port of Cartagena, in a south-westerly direction, on a development with the same name and 136 meters above sea level.
The Cabo Tiñoso Lighthouse is classified as first-rate and was inaugurated in 1859. The original construction underwent various reforms, so the current lighthouse was put into operation again in 1970, already having an automated electrical system.
The lighthouse is a white tower with a light 10 meters above the base. In its enclosure, it has a one-story house.
The signal light is white with a range of up to 24 nautical miles.
