This castle is located on the hill with which it shares its name, 293 meters above sea level. Its construction began in 1706, during the War of the Spanish Succession, when English troops occupied the city.
The first building created then by the English was a cylindrical tower from which Charles III would later order the construction of the castle, which was not completed until 1888.
Thanks to its numerous reforms and reconstructions, the Castle of Saint Julian has one of the most diverse architectural styles in its construction.
