The Castle of Chuecos rises in the foothills of the Sierra de Almenara, on a ravine and a spring of water.
It is located just five kilometers from the Castle of Tebar. It guards the communication routes that connect the city of Lorca and the port of Aguilas.
Its origin is Arab (6th or 7th centuries) and it is a hisn or rural castle that protected the surrounding population.
